Valir Physical Therapy in Purcell opened its doors to the McClain County community in October 2008. Our objective is and always has been to provide an expert level of physical therapy services to all we serve in Purcell and the greater area. We also strive to provide patient education and therapies that will help patients achieve their maximum level of function in a friendly, professional, encouraging environment.
Our services include specialized orthopedic rehabilitation of shoulders and knees, sports medicine with sport-specific rehabilitation, pre- and postoperative rehab, spine rehabilitation, balance dysfunction, work conditioning, patient education for a better work environment, aquatic therapy and much more.
Patient and therapists work together to establish goals that are challenging yet achievable to maximize outcomes. We develop individualized home exercise programs for patients to promote healing and recovery and to prevent future injuries.

Samer Zantout, MPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, joined Valir Physical Therapy in February 2008. Sam was raised in Oklahoma City, graduating from Heritage Hall Academy and continuing his studies at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from OU in May 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in zoology. While completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as a physical therapy technician in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, where his passion for the field of physical therapy grew. Sam attended the physical therapy program at the University of Oklahoma, where he graduated with a master's degree in physical therapy in May 2005. Prior to joining Valir, Sam worked in a busy outpatient clinic specializing in spine care and orthopedic rehabilitation.
Over the last two years, Sam has participated in a two-year postgraduate Norwegian fellowship in manual physical therapy. He recently completed the fellowship and has received certification from the Federation of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT), and he has also received certification as an orthopedic clinic specialist (OCS) by the American Physical Therapy Association. In addition, Sam has begun studying the McKenzie diagnostic therapy (MDT) approach to spine care to add to his vast experience in this area.
Sam enjoys the outdoors and activities such as fishing, running, playing golf and cycling. He is an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan and attends football and basketball games on a regular basis. He is dedicated to patient care and helping his patients return to sports, work and play. Sam and his wife Sarah are expecting their first child in the fall.
