Valir Physical Therapy in Shawnee has been serving the community since 2000. Our objective is and always has been to provide an expert level of physical therapy services to all those we serve in Shawnee and the greater Pottawatomie County area. Scott Howard, RPT, CSCI, STS, CWT, is the clinic manager of Valir Physical Therapy's Shawnee location. Scott is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and has been practicing physical therapy in Shawnee for more than 12 years. He also holds a degree in industrial safety from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Scott’s areas of focus are outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and work rehabilitation. He is certified as a strength and conditioning instructor, strength training specialist, and certified weight trainer. His continuing education courses include Maitland manual therapy of the spine, functional capacity evaluations, many OU Sooners sports medicine symposiums, and numerous shoulder, knee, ankle, and back courses. Scott develops individualized treatment programs for his patients while building a strong personal rapport with each of them.

Scott and his wife, Gina, have made Shawnee their home since 1997. In his spare time, Scott enjoys fishing, exercising, watching movies, relaxing at home and spending time with his daughter Blakely. 

Travis Calton, DPT, graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. Travis was an All-American baseball player at Oklahoma Baptist University and played professional baseball in Germany. Travis earned his doctorate degree in physical therapy in May 2008 and began his career at Valir that same summer.

Travis lives in McLoud and enjoys playing softball, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.
