Insurance
- Valir Rehabilitation Hospital's in-house business office verifies insurance benefits prior to patient admission and will happily assist with any insurance-related questions or concerns that may arise during a patient's stay.

Admission and Discharge
- We admit patients to our hospital seven days a week.
- We prefer to admit patients during the morning, as this allows them greater time to familiarize themselves with our hospital.
- Suggested discharge times are between 10 a.m. and noon, though we are supportive of individual needs and situations.

Transportation Services
- We are happy to provide transportation service for our patients.
- Transportation will be provided from acute care hospitals, the patient's home or other facilities as applicable.
- We also provide patient transportation to off-campus physician appointments.

 | Visiting Hours
- Visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily.
- For patient privacy, we ask that visitors do not accompany patients to therapy in the main gym.
- Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Medications
- For patient safety, we require that all medications be checked by our pharmacist.
- Patients should bring a list of their current medications so that all necessary medication needs can be addressed.

Clothing
- We suggest that patients bring casual, comfortable clothing that allows easy movement.
- Patients will spend most of the day outside of their rooms.
- Remember to bring comfortable shoes as they are a vital part of patient therapy.
- Patients should bring a sufficient supply of clothing, as laundry services are not provided.
- The patient's name should be written on each article of clothing.

Parking
- We offer patients and their families free parking on our campus.
- Visitor parking is located directly in front of the hospital, south of the main building.

Safety
- For safety purposes, all patients must wear an identification band for the duration of their rehabilitation stay.
- For the protection of our patients, visitors and employees, our facility grounds are monitored by security officers.
- All Valir employees wear photo identification badges.

Meals
Breakfast: 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: noon to 1 p.m.
Dinner: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Any meal supplements must be evaluated by our dietician.
- Our facility includes a cafeteria on the ground floor.
- Visitors may purchase meal tickets from the receptionist at the hospital's main entrance.
- Vending machines are located in the cafeteria.
- Microwave ovens are located on each patient-care floor and in the cafeteria.
- Coffee and tea are complimentary and are available in the cafeteria and on patient-care floors.

- Valir Rehabilitation Hospital is a smoke-free campus.
- If necessary, we will work with a patient's physician to establish acceptable alternatives to smoking.
