Valir Rehabilitation Hospital

Our facility is a modern and technologically superior hospital specifically designed for rehabilitation services.

Below you will find useful information about Valir Rehabilitation Hospital.

Insurance
  • Valir Rehabilitation Hospital's in-house business office verifies insurance benefits prior to patient admission and will happily assist with any insurance-related questions or concerns that may arise during a patient's stay.

Admission and Discharge
  • We admit patients to our hospital seven days a week.
  • We prefer to admit patients during the morning, as this allows them greater time to familiarize themselves with our hospital.
  • Suggested discharge times are between 10 a.m. and noon, though we are supportive of individual needs and situations.

Transportation Services
  • We are happy to provide transportation service for our patients.
  • Transportation will be provided from acute care hospitals, the patient's home or other facilities as applicable.
  • We also provide patient transportation to off-campus physician appointments.

Visiting Hours
  • Visiting hours are from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., daily.
  • For patient privacy, we ask that visitors do not accompany patients to therapy in the main gym.
  • Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Medications
  • For patient safety, we require that all medications be checked by our pharmacist.
  • Patients should bring a list of their current medications so that all necessary medication needs can be addressed.

Clothing
  • We suggest that patients bring casual, comfortable clothing that allows easy movement.
  • Patients will spend most of the day outside of their rooms.
  • Remember to bring comfortable shoes as they are a vital part of patient therapy.
  • Patients should bring a sufficient supply of clothing, as laundry services are not provided.
  • The patient's name should be written on each article of clothing.

Parking
  • We offer patients and their families free parking on our campus.
  • Visitor parking is located directly in front of the hospital, south of the main building.

Safety
  • For safety purposes, all patients must wear an identification band for the duration of their rehabilitation stay.
  • For the protection of our patients, visitors and employees, our facility grounds are monitored by security officers.
  • All Valir employees wear photo identification badges.
