"A Higher Standard of Care"

Fighting the Battle Against Parkinson's Disease

Parkinson's disease is a debilitating neurological disorder that progressively diminishes one's ability to live and function independently. Our Parkinson's specialty program uses education and the latest treatment strategies to help patients regain their independence and learn coping strategies to improve quality of life. The program treats all Parkinson's-related impairments, including physical movement, speech, and daily living skills.

ONE-OF-A-KIND PROGRAM
Valir Rehabilitation Hospital is the only hospital in Oklahoma City and the surrounding area with the Parkinson's Proficient Accreditation from the Parkinson's Foundation of the Heartland. This accreditation means that Valir's hospital staff participated in speciality training and testing to learn more about the disease, the healing process, and appropriate treatment strategies.
